After well over a years work, the commission for Historic Royal Palaces at the Tower of London was completed in 2011.

Kendra has recently finished a commission of a Fallow stag head for a private client. Chosen because the subject is indigenous to the locality, the sculpture sits above a fireplace in a large banqueting hall.

Starting from a steel armature or wire skeletal frame, wire mesh is built up to create the bone and muscle form before the skin layers and surface textures are applied. This process of layering the wire creates a fluidity of form and gives the sculpture its sense of life and animation.

Drawing is integral to Kendra's work, initially to record and observe her subjects and while making her sculpture, helping to explore and understand the form and space it inhabits.
